It's Time (Almost)!
Here's the promo video to get you even more excited. But first thing first... it's time to nominate judges for Paramoremusic Idol. Comments are screened. Put down the livejournal username of who you think would be a good, fair, and unbiased judge. You may nominate yourself. Judges need to have time within the next few months to watch all the entries in time for the dates (to-be-announced) of when winners will be chosen for all 4 rounds, be available to officially judge Round 1 and 3, and leave comments/critiques. Judges cannot be a contestant in the competition. If you have any questions relating to anything about the contest, go ahead and ask here - I'll reply to them. We're almost there, just a few more things before the contest is officially started! |

Funny video.
Hello, This might seem a tiny bit random, but on youtube about a year ago ish, I found a video of Paramore in their emergency gear, and they jumped out at Hayley who was walking out of her trailer, and they started shooting at her with water guns or something like that... and then Zac pretended to be dead on the floor, so if anyone could find out where that is, I would be so greatful because I've been lookin for it for so long! This is OT but I'm wondering about this Yesterday I posted about how Paramore came in at No.19 in MTV's Top 20 Bands of the Decade. People asked me who the other bands were in the 20 Here they are - 20. Queens of The Stone Age 19. Paramore 18. Franz Fredinand 17. Red Hot Chili Peppers 16. The Kaiser Cheifs 15. Fall Out Boy 14. Biffy Clyro 13. My Chemical Romance 12. Linkin Park 11. Coldplay 10. White Stripes 9. Kasabian 8. The Libertines 7. The Killers 6. Arctic Monkeys 5. Muse 4. The Strokes 3. Foo Fighters 2. Green Day 1. Kings of Leon Quite alot of people commented and said that they didn't agree with that list and it was a stupid choice to put Kings of Leon at No.1 So my question is who are your top 5 bands of the decade? From The Herald... Plymouth couple get engaged at Paramore rock gigA YOUNG Plymouth couple have spoken of the moment they became engaged on stage with their favourite rock band, Paramore. Liam Wood proposed to his sweetheart, Leona May, during a Paramore gig in Wembley Arena – thanks to the band's kind guitarist, Josh Farro. Liam and Leona, who live in Exeter Street, said that if it wasn't for Paramore they would never have met – and if it wasn't for Josh Farro letting them up on stage, they wouldn't have had such a memorable engagement. Liam, 20, said: "It was an amazing experience." Paramore is an American rock band that has hit major fame over the past few years. Liam and Leona, 19, met three and a half years ago, after Liam was looking for fellow Paramore fans on www.myspace.com. He came across Leona and they exchanged Paramore-related messages before 'getting on really well' and eventually meeting up. Liam then went to college in Guilford, Surrey, for two years – but came back often to see Leona. Last year, they moved in together in Plymouth before Leona started a business administration degree at the University of Plymouth and Liam embarked upon a live music degree at UCP Marjon. Liam said: "I'd been thinking about proposing for a while – and I thought the best way to do it would be to propose at a Paramore concert. "I waited for a long time for them to announce their tour dates – but in September they did, so I got two lots of tickets, one for Cardiff on Monday December 14 and the other for Wembley Arena on Friday December 18. "I then emailed management but I didn't get much of a reply." Liam said he and Leona went to the Cardiff gig and, by chance, he spotted Josh Farro in the sound booth. He decided to write Josh a letter to see if the band could announce his proposal at the Wembley gig. He just had to somehow get the letter to Josh. Liam said: "I wrote a letter in case I saw him again in the sound booth in Wembley – and I did. He was in the booth before the band went on, so I gave the letter to him. "Half way through their set, they said to the audience that they had a letter – and they called us onto the stage, which I wasn't expecting." Liam said he and Leona went onstage in front of thousands of fans before vocalist Hayley Williams passed him the microphone. He asked Leona to marry him and gave her a ring. Liam said: "The band dedicated a song to us and we watched the rest of the set from the side of the stage. "It was amazing. Because we had been together for so long, I never thought she wouldn't say yes!" Leona said: "It was just amazing. A video was taken of it and I have seen it on Youtube – and I can't believe it is me. I was so nervous when we went up to the stage but it was an awesome day I will never forget!" Ladies and gentlemen this is a song about love...gone terribbly wrong.
In reading Hayley's newest Paramorejournal entry... it made me think of the line that Hayley would say during lives shows before they played "Never let this go"
"Ladies and gentlemen this is a song about love...gone terribbly wrong."
I had not thought about this line is some time now and I really loved the irony of the line. It is just so great and "Never let this go" is such a great song. I am a lover of all types of music but there is just something about Paramore that makes my heart pump like no one else. For example this live show line.
So I jumped on this opportunity to post this mind thought and ask other fans if they have favorite lines from live show? Paramore is such a well rounded band that they have so many things to talk about. So...

For all those Chicagoland fans...
Do you ever think Paramore will play Lollapalooza? I don't know if they're the right style for it, but it would most certainly make my day if they did. I went on day 2 last year, and it was the night of my life. If Paramore played, I don't know what I would do. hahaha. Probably camp out in front of their stage like I did for Tool. Has anyone here gone to Lollapalooza? If so, what year/day? |

help!
does anyone have that video where the whole band is with the contest winners for that born for this contest ... hayley is holding a posterboard with the gang vocal lyrics and singing a cappella with everyone singing it back to her for recording. it's the same footage as in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp-B1P4CvEc (hayley singing in the blue shirt) but without the official track over it. thanks for your help :) p.s. and another thing ... that confession post made me feel really sad because i wish all these problems could be fixed. i used to work as a counselor on a teen hotline and kids would call in to talk about all sorts of things, from shyness and depression to eating disorders and suicide. they're completely confidential - they won't call your parents or anything. and let me just say that as lame as calling a hotline might sound, they have REALLY helped so so many people. it isn't some sort of magic "cure" .... but talking stuff out with someone else can help you work out a solution that could change your life. this is just a suggestion. i understand that it takes courage to talk about problems and that some people might not feel ready or comfortable. but i just wanted ya'll to be aware of the great resources out there. i really hope no one takes offense. but if this helps even one person, i'll take a couple flames for it :) call here to talk to other teens: 1-800-248-TEENall sorts of #'s by topic. may be answered by adults... i'm not familiar with these: http://www.pamf.org/teen/hotlines.html
